Annie Olivo

Annie was born in Louisiana, raised in Texas. She has strong Texas roots, but falls more and more in love with Tennessee after moving here in 2012. Since a very young age, she has pursued athletics with her whole heart. Running and gymnastics were her first loves. Ultimately turning into a collegiate All-American Grand National Champion Cheerleader, and track athlete.

After college, she married her high school sweetheart, Tyson and began teaching elementary school. She taught 4th grade for 2 years, but after having children chose to stay home and tutor students part-time.

In 2012, she and her family left their home-town in Texas and moved to Franklin, TN. At the top of her to-do list was to find a gym. She stumbled upon Team Tae Bo Fitness (now Shell Shock Fitness) and was immediately drawn to the studio. The music, the sweat, the technique, and the push to excel, ultimately drove her to pursue an Advanced Tae Bo certification in February of 2016. Not knowing what it would feel like to teach, she walked into the camp with open eyes and an open heart. It was a passion she could not deny and the drive to teach was all-encompassing. Annie is passionate about reaching people where they are, and challenging them to push beyond what they think they are capable of. Music is part of the inspiration that drives her classes; she believes music with a good beat can take you places.

While the workout is bar-none, it is the people that have her heart.

Annie and Tyson have 3 kids, Jackson, Anna Kate, and Halli. They are purposeful about time with their family and raising a generation that denies themselves, and seek the cross. Annie is also a PE, Cross country, and track coach at Grace Christian Academy.

Christa House

My fitness journey started about 5 years ago when I decided to make some positive changes in my life! It began with losing 48lbs, and spiraled from there! Fitness has ALWAYS been a part of my life and began, truly, when I was just 5yrs old with my very first dance class. I attended the Milwaukee HS of the Arts and began teaching dance classes at just 14yrs old. I studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern. So when I was given the opportunity to sub in the dance fitness program a few years ago, I jumped on it!!! I obtained my AFAA Primary Group Fitness Certification which enabled me to teach aerobic and weight training in the Group Fitness setting, and shortly thereafter became Piloxing certified, receiving my first regular spot on the Group Fit schedule! My Ujam Dance Fitness Certification came next and opened up a whole new world of dance for me in the fitness world!
My very first experience with Tae Bo Fitness was opening week here, November 2012, at Team Tae Bo Fitness in Franklin (now called Shell Shock Fitness)…and needless to say, it was LOVE at first punch! I currently hold Tae Bo-Basic, Tae Bo-Advanced and Tae Bo-Extreme certifications and was blessed beyond measure when Shellie & Mark Cimarosti asked me to become part of the greatest T.E.A.M in the world!!!
My husband, Chris House (also a T.E.A.M enthusiast!!) and I have been married for 15yrs and have 2 beautiful children, Ben 13yrs old and Emma 10yrs old. I am a Registered Nurse by profession and currently work at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in the CVICU.

My greatest blessings have come from this wonderful path that God is leading me down, and not a day goes by where I don’t look up, look in, look out…and give my thanks to Him!
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

Cristina Smith

When Cristina (Cris) Smith discovered Team Tae Bo Fitness in 2012 (now Shell Shock Fitness), she didn’t know she had found the one place that would inspire her to become a fitness instructor. And she couldn’t be more excited to be a part of Shell Shock Fitness in it’s opening year as a new member of the instructor team. Cris was a dedicated student of a dance fitness workout for 13 years, and while she loved that workout, she never felt compelled to teach. After joining Shellie and Mark’s studio in 2012, she discovered an addiction to their challenging workout, the positive T.E.A.M atmosphere, and the people. She especially loves kickboxing, with its emphasis on technique. She obtained her Advanced Tae Bo certification in 2016, and her kickboxing certification in 2017. After finally gaining the confidence to go for it, she began teaching in October 2017.

Cris is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. She is married to her high school sweetheart and has two children. She and her family moved to Franklin, TN in 2010. She is also an environmental consultant, currently part-time, for the same company since 1996. She believes in loyalty and dedication to her work. The most important thing she has learned from Shell Shock Fitness is to “never say never”, and that “you are stronger than you think!”

Jennie Green

I am a born and bred TN girl. I have lived in Middle TN my entire life, and I have enjoyed connecting with others from all parts of the country. I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a concentration in health education. After graduating, happiness led me on an incredible journey into marriage with my husband, Thomas and we are blessed two beautiful children, Emma and Syler. Along the way, I settled for being a care taker for everyone but myself. In summer of 2011, my Daddy left this earth at only 57 years young of an apparent heart attack. This energized me to get serious about being healthier by eating clean and exercising. I found trainers that I connected with, and began working out like a mad person. I felt good about my progress, but I wanted to take my cardio up a notch. After attending my first Tae Bo® Fitness class (now called Shell Shock Fitness), I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of it. When Shellie and Mark decided to open, I contacted Shellie to see if they needed any part time help when the studio opened. It wasn’t until after working there and improving myself that I decided I wanted to get certified. In March of 2014, I decided to get Basic Certified to challenge myself, then 6 months later I enrolled in the Advanced Camp. Once they decided to bring Tae Bo® Kickboxing specialty to the studio, I decided to become an instructor. I love motivating and helping people become stronger. The concentration, patience, and hard work that it took to get me to that point has been the most rewarding experience so far. “And so it was that she, having waited long and endured patiently, realized and obtained what God had promised her.” – Hebrews 6:15

Jennifer Doss

Jenn has been very active in sports and the fitness world for most of her life but fell in love with group fitness about 15 years ago. Her family moved to Franklin, Tennessee in December 2014 and she then found Shell Shock Fitness (formerly Team Tae Bo Fitness). As soon as she walked through the doors she knew she had to become a part of this community and a TEAM like no other. She learned more about the specific technique and intentionality of the workouts and how it transformed her body and mind, it began to spark her interest in becoming a certified instructor. The entire TEAM, especially the instructors, played a huge role in motivating her to excel as a better, stronger version of herself and encouraged her along the way.

Jenn was officially certified in February of 2016 to teach and has been incredibly thankful for every class and client she has had the privilege of working alongside with. She is committed to bringing her very best to every class; energy, love, passion, and excellence, just as she felt the moment she stepped into her first class at this gym.

Jenn lives in Franklin, has been married to her husband Ronnie for 12 years and we have two beautiful daughters, Addison and Kennedy.

Love is patient, love is kind, love does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others. It is not self seeking. It is not easily angered. It keeps no records of wrong. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Stephanie Hewitt

I am a true Tennessean. I was born here and have lived in TN all of my life. I have a wonderful family. I am married with 3 children and an extended family of 2 children and a growing number of grandchildren. I am a Sr. Business Services Consultant for Signature Health Care by profession and have been in the industry for 21 years.
My active lifestyle started at a young age. I grew up on a farm where we were always playing or working ourdoors. I also love basketball and played throughout school. I am a strong believer that an active life style is critical in maintaining a healthy balance physically, mentally, and spiritually.

I was first introduced to Tae Bo® Fitness by way of the VHS in home workout videos in the 90’s. I fell in love with it. I was so excited when I was reintroduced during the Grand Opening Week of Team Tae Bo® Fitness. It was like being reunited with an old friend. Tae Bo® Fitness is so much more than just a workout, it is a lifestyle. Tae Bo® Fitness is a challenging and ever changing journey, regardless of one’s age or fitness level. This is one of the many reasons I love it and why I was compelled to expand my knowledge and become an instructor. I became a Tae Bo® Fitness instructor in 2013 (now Shell Shock Fitness) and am truly blessed and honored to be a part of the family.
